Service Scope Policy Power Lift Moving provides professional moving labor services. Our services focus on the physical labor, skill, and equipment required to safely move household or commercial items. Services Offered Power Lift Moving provides trained movers to perform the following services: Loading and unloading rental trucks or on-site containers Load-and-unload moving services (same-day or scheduled) In-home moves and furniture rearranging Furniture disassembly and reassembly Handling of heavy or oversized items when disclosed in advance Protective wrapping, padding, and securing of furniture and items during the move Our crews arrive with professional moving equipment, including moving blankets, shrink wrap, straps, dollies, and tools, to protect belongings and property. Truck Services Power Lift Moving operates primarily as a labor-only moving company. When requested, we may assist with the rental truck process on the customer’s behalf. This may include truck pickup, operation during the move, return of the vehicle, and coordination with the rental company. All truck rental fees are separate from labor charges and are due at the time of booking. The customer is responsible for all rental-related costs. What We Do Not Provide Power Lift Moving does not provide the following services unless explicitly agreed to in writing: Packing or unpacking of boxes Junk Removal – Terms & Conditions Junk removal is offered as an optional convenience add-on during a scheduled move and is subject to availability and space limitations. Accepted Items We can remove most household items and general non-hazardous junk, including furniture, mattresses, appliances (empty and disconnected), electronics, and bagged household debris. Prohibited Items For safety and disposal reasons, we do not remove hazardous or restricted materials, including but not limited to: Paint, chemicals, solvents, or cleaning agents Gasoline, fuel, oil, propane tanks, or pressurized containers Fireworks, ammunition, or explosives Medical waste, needles, or biohazard materials Car batteries, tires, or automotive fluids Asbestos-containing or hazardous construction materials If an item is determined to be prohibited, it will not be removed. Pricing & Volume Junk removal pricing is based on the amount of space the items occupy in the truck (e.g., quarter, half, or full truck bed). Pricing includes labor, loading, hauling, and disposal fees. Final volume and pricing are confirmed on-site prior to removal. Capacity Limit Junk removal is limited to approximately one truck bed per job. Additional junk beyond available capacity may be declined or require separate arrangements. Customer Responsibility Customers are responsible for identifying items they wish to have removed and for ensuring items are safe, legal, and permitted for disposal. Any items not approved for removal will be left on-site. Right to Refuse Service We reserve the right to refuse removal of any item that poses a safety risk, violates disposal regulations, exceeds capacity, or is not disclosed prior to removal. Final Charges Junk removal charges are added to the final invoice and are due at the completion of service. Long-term or overnight storage Transportation of hazardous, illegal, or unsafe items Service Limitations All items to be moved must be disclosed in advance. Power Lift Moving reserves the right to refuse service for items or conditions that are unsafe, excessively heavy, undisclosed, or outside the agreed scope of work. By booking services with Power Lift Moving, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this Service Scope Policy. Billing & Minimums Policy All services provided by Power Lift Moving are billed on an hourly basis with a required two-hour minimum per job, unless otherwise stated in writing. Billing Start & End Time Billing begins when the crew arrives on site and starts work and ends when services are fully completed, including cleanup and final walkthrough. Minimum Payment Requirement The first two hours of labor must be paid in full before the crew begins work. Any additional time beyond the initial minimum is billed in hourly increments and must be paid in full before the crew leaves the job site. Truck fees, when applicable, are due at the time of booking. Rental Truck Billing Policy Rental trucks are provided through third-party companies such as U-Haul or similar providers. Customers may choose one of the following options: Option 1: Customer-Provided Rental Truck The customer reserves and pays for the rental truck in their own name. Power Lift Moving provides labor services only. The customer is responsible for all rental-related charges and operations. Option 2: Power Lift Moving-Arranged Rental Truck Power Lift Moving reserves and operates the rental truck on the customer’s behalf. A flat truck fee is required and due at booking. Truck fees are non-refundable once reserved. This service includes truck pickup, driving during the move, loading, unloading, and return. Truck Fee Includes: Rental cost Standard local mileage Basic wear and usage Truck Fee Does Not Include: Fuel (billed based on actual usage) Tolls or parking fees Additional charges imposed by the rental company due to customer-requested changes Receipts can be provided upon request. Power Lift Moving is not responsible for mechanical issues, breakdowns, or delays caused by third-party rental equipment. Travel Time Billing If the crew travels as part of the job, including travel between load and unload locations, that time is billable at the same hourly rate unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Delays & Interruptions Delays caused by customer-related issues, including lack of access, parking issues, elevator delays, incomplete preparation, or waiting time, are billable and add to the total hours. Additional Charges Additional charges may apply for stairs, long carries, heavy or oversized items, or services not disclosed in advance. All applicable charges will be communicated prior to or during the move. By booking services with Power Lift Moving, the customer agrees to this Billing & Minimums Policy. Service Execution & Limitations Policy Power Lift Moving follows a structured and professional moving process designed to ensure efficiency, safety, and clear expectations. Furniture Disassembly & Reassembly Basic furniture disassembly and reassembly is provided when required for safe transport, including bed frames, tables, and large furniture items. Power Lift Moving is not responsible for mechanical failures, stripped hardware, or pre-existing structural weaknesses. Heavy & Oversized Items Heavy or oversized items must be disclosed in advance. Additional charges may apply. Power Lift Moving reserves the right to refuse any item deemed unsafe or excessively heavy. Professional Moving Process Our service process includes job confirmation, on-time arrival, walkthrough and assessment, clear communication, secure handling of items, payment collection upon completion, and optional review requests. Services Not Provided Power Lift Moving does not provide packing services, supply packing materials, remove junk or trash, provide storage, transport hazardous materials, or negotiate pricing on-site. Pricing is agreed upon prior to service and is not renegotiated during the job. Final Acknowledgment By booking services with Power Lift Moving, the customer acknowledges and agrees to all policies outlined above.
